Key Account Manager
A British Engineering Company supplying components to the automotive industry are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager or Commercial Manager with a technical background. You will be required to manage multiple customer accounts in the UK and Europe.

Salary £ 50,000 - £ 55,000 p.a. + Company Car + Fuel card + Bonus + Benefits

Managing the commercial aspects of customer programmes you will build and develop close working relationships with new and existing customers. Responsible for negotiating and agreeing pricing across multiple product platforms, including pricing for production, prototypes, tooling and capital expenditure as well as payment planning for investment programmes. Working closely with engineering and managing changes from a cost perspective, recommending appropriate cost reduction opportunities and reviewing in line with budgets. Contribute and identify and undertake initiatives to improve effectiveness of the commercial function, whilst working closely with the cost estimation team to provide a consistent customer approach. Responsible for two direct reports you will also support other team members as required to ensure an effective and efficient delivery utilising an in depth knowledge of customer quotations.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a technically based engineering related subject, with five years or more commercial management experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
