Test & Development Engineer
This leading global industrial engineering business is looking to appoint a Development Engineer as an integral part of the Engineering Team to apply development engineering expertise to the design verification and NPD activities.

Salary: £ 25,000 - £ 40,000 p.a + Flexible Working Hours + Pension
Suitable for: Engineering Technician, Development Engineer, NPI Engineer, New Product Introduction Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Engineer, Test Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will responsible for;
Development of verification test plans and schedules which support the product and performance objectives
Delivery of verification build and test activities in line with programme timing
Conduct Mechanical and electrical build (modifications and/or installations) of prototype components and systems
Proactively provide escalation and summary status reports where necessary
Conduct verification testing in line with processes and procedures
Compile detailed build and test reports confirming evaluated performance whilst identifying any opportunities/risks as results indicate
Ensure test procedures, test results and test reports are appropriately filed and traceable
Creation of new test procedures where new technology or new requirements dictate
Maintain existing and identify new, rig/apparatus requirements as warranted by current and future verification requirements
Engage with third party service providers where in-house capability unavailable.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering HND and/or Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship.
Experience gained within a manufacturing or development environment with an appreciation of the design and manufacturing considerations of materials and processes
A good understanding of build and test schedules would be highly advantageous
Knowledge of AC/DC, high voltage systems would also be an advantage
General fitting and workshop skills, including turning, milling, grinding and bench work
Competent with PC Microsoft toolset`s
Good report writing, presentation and communication skills
Reliable and able to deliver activities to deadlines and KPI`s.
