Job Description

A Manufacturing Technical Centre who specialise Lithium-Ion Battery are looking for a Measure and Test Engineer. This is a brand new, high volume, Li-ion battery manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will design from scratch a whole EOL test facility to mature and test battery cells. As the Senior Measure and Test Engineer, you will take full responsibility for the specification, selection, purchase, installation, commissioning and running of the battery test function.

Salary: £ 49,000 - £ 56,000 p.a.

The Role

Design, support and develop test facilities and equipment
Review test equipment performance and provide process improvements, ensuring that all test equipment meets with quality and safety standards
Support directly/indirectly software/PLC development around specific test equipment
Liaise with internal quality function and design centres to improve product test coverage
Specify and maintain calibration standards and procedures and maintain all relevant records and documentation
Provide appropriate training for operators and technicians in the safe use and maintenance of test equipment
Provide technical support to fellow team members and Maintenance Technicians

The Candidate

5+ years experience in a similar role and environment
Ideally: Experience of test engineering in a production facility working with Test Equipment capable of testing electronic type components
Electronics understanding, fault find at board level
Minimum of HNC/HND standard
Software development with knowledge of C++, VB and LabView
PLC Knowledge desirable
Able to comprehend Electrical/Machine Schematics and Drawings
