Job Description

A well established food manufacturer are looking for a NPD Manager to manage and lead a team of NPD and Process Technologist. You`ll have a strong new product development background with experience of managing customer projects.

Commutable from: Hereford, Worcester, Malvern, Ledbury, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire

Salary: £ 40,000 - £48,000 p.a. plus Pension and 25 days holidays plus bank holidays

The Role

Reporting into the NPD Director , you`ll be responsible for managing a team of New Product Technologist and Process Technologist to manage individual customer projects, ensuring all products are produced to a high
Managing ongoing development activity for the business, including product and process development and product specifications.
Generation of concept samples as appropriate for market research, product briefings and conducting customer presentations.
Monitoring of market trends, through pro active research, speaking to suppliers and customer and incorporating research and knowledge into NPD processes.
Maintain regular communication with customers and NPD team on changes to products and projects updates to NPD Director.

The Person

Degree qualified within a Food related subject, with at least three years experience working with Food manufacturing environment.
Experience of managing and leading a New Product Development department, with a strong background of leading and managing projects.
Understanding of market trends and conducting market research.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communication updates to customers and Directors.
