Job Description

Part of a global organisation this successful division is currently recruiting a Health and Safety Coordinator. With experience working in a fast paced, manufacturing/engineering operation you will have a good understanding of health and safety policies.

Commutable from: Exeter, Exmouth, Newton Abbott, Yeovil, Barnstable, Torquay, Tiverton, Plymouth, Oakhampton, Minehead, Taunton.

Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 42,000 p.a. + pension + 33 days holiday (incl. bank hol)

Suitable for: HSE Officer, HSE Advisor, Health and Safety Officer, Health and Safety Advisor, H&S Officer, H&S Advisor, H&S Manager, Health & Safety Manager, H&S Supervisor, Health and Safety Supervisor.

The Role

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safe and healthy working practises and policies that are environmentally friendly:

Key responsibilities include:

Set and maintain standards in accordance with current legislation and corporate guidelines
Introduce and maintain accident preventative systems.
Ensure that the Company complies with environmental requirements
Undertake health and safety internal audits
Manage on site contractors safely
Ensure that all employees work in a healthy and safe environment at all times
Identify health and safety training needs and prepare and deliver training or source training as required

The Person

With significant experience in Health & Safety you will ideally have experience working in a hands on engineering or manufacturing environment. Candidates will have a relevant H&S qualification and up to date knowledge of current legislation and standards.
