Job Description

A British Engineering Company supplying advanced systems to automotive OEM`s are recruiting for a Test & Development Engineer on a 6 month contract. You will be required to effectively support the development and test new electro/mechanical products to customer specifications.

Commutable from: Bicester, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Towcester, Aylesbury, Oxford, Banbury, Northampton, Dunstable

Salary: Competitive Contract Rates + Early finish Friday

The Role

Responsible for conducting Design verification test programs to validate new automotive products to customer test specifications.
You will set up monitoring and analysis of mechanical tests such as mechanical shock, impact and vibration simulation.
This role will involve basic electrical testing to verify correct operation.
You will provide feedback on test results to the project teams and assist in resolving test failures
arrange external testing and witness external testing
Compiling test reports in accordance with the company and customers requirements.
Responsible for conducting electrical tests using programmable power supplies, thermal testing of PCB`s and assemblies to evaluate new designs using thermal imaging equipment.
You will provide test results feedback to the Electronic Design team and assist in resolving any failures, manufacturing test boxes and harnesses to support testing and compile test reports in accordance with the company and customer requirements.

The Person

Educated to HNC level or above in a relevant engineering discipline or with some prior test/development environment experience.
