Business Development Manager
The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Business Development Manager. The purpose of the role is to help managed inbound enquires, promote PMI to agreed target audiences and to contribute and deliver the primary targets of the business.
Duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:
Deliver the primary business objectives for PMI.
Pro-actively engage with prospective clients in a timely and professional manner.
Own and maintain key client relationships.
Develop the PMI value proposition for a prospective client and the specific project activities PMI can support to deliver their business objectives.
Close deals with clients.
Identify next stage projects.
Sales pipeline management and reporting through the phases of opportunity identification, validation, qualification and then closing.
Proactively supporting the PMI Head of Business Development.
The Business Development Manager will have / be:
Good Manufacturing, Engineering or Business Studies degree, possibly with an MBA
Business development techniques and methodologies.
Engineering knowledge and manufacturing techniques.
Sales pipeline development and sales closing techniques.
Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project package skills.
Consultative business development approach
Financially literate and numerate.
Deal structuring and negotiation experience.
