Job Description

Applications Engineer is required for a global business within the metrology and advanced inspection field, the role requires UK travel and offers excellent progression. Applicants will receive world class training and development package and extensive career progression within the role.

Commutable from: Coventry, Leicester, Birmingham, Warwick

Salary: £ 37,000 - £ 40,000 p.a. + Company Car + Pension

The Role

The Applications Engineer is primarily focused with providing technical support to the Sales Managers across the group operation including development of new business, consultancy on product capability, customer liaison and input to tender processes. The Applications Engineer will support all aspect of the sales process include pre-sales, post-sale and internal training/coaching. The role requires regular travel to and from customer sites and overnight stays.

The Person

The Applications Engineer will possess a recognised technical degree and be highly conversant with metrology or related measurement/inspection disciplines. Previous experience to supporting the technical elements of a sales process in an engineering/scientific environment are essential including client liaison and ideally a level of input into tender/proposals. Flexibility is required to travel UK wide to support client requirements.
