IT Service Desk Engineer
The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a IT Service Desk Engineer. The role is reporting into the Service Delivery Manager and working with other members of the team to support the business and to provide additional capability across the technologies in use.
The role is being created as a result of the rapid expansion of MTC and its future expansion into new buildings over the next 12 months. Duties and responsibilities of the IT Service Desk Engineer:
Providing first class CITRIX support to the MTC
Working with the infrastructure team to further improve services offered.
Liaison with 3rd party contractors
Ensuring appropriate project paperwork is in place in a timely manner
Working with other members of the ICT department to ensure that the project technical requirements are in place in a timely manner.
The candidate will capable of working in a challenging environment and will be capable of managing own workload. The environment is fast changing and MTC are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer capable of working within an environment with constantly changing demands. A willingness to get involved, suggest ideas and a desire to learn will be beneficial.
Experience installing, configuring and supporting:
Windows 8 and 10
Maintaining a Citrix VDI estate,
Responsible for the upkeep of security
Experience managing WYSE terminals and Chromebooks
Command Line and/or PowerShell
