Job Description

The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Stores Inventory Operative to support the Stores Inventory Manager and the function of The MTC stores.

The Role

The purpose of the Stores & Inventory Operative is to provide an efficient and customer-focused storage, inventory and despatch function supporting all functions within the organisation. We are in the process of introducing a new purpose built stores facility therefore the ideal candidate will have experience of setting up and implementing the configuration, process flows and operational structure to meet the changing demands of the organisation.

The Person

The Stores and Inventory Operative will be from a warehouse background with experience in Goods intake and despatch. They will have a good level of numeracy, excellent organisational skills, experience working under pressure and the ability to communicate effectively. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
The Stores and Inventory Opertive will be suited to applicants educated to A-Level or above. As well as skills and knowledge of the following:
Experience of goods inwards, quality control and inspection
Adherence to procedures / daily routines / yard & recycling.
Proven track record of expediting and order book management
Experience working in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
Effective operation of systems and procedures.
