The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Apprentice Trainer within Advanced Machining, Intelligent Automation and Metrology. The purpose of the role is to train apprentices in the fundamentals of the AMTC`s level 2 or 3 units, working towards the completion of the product design and development level 3 apprenticeship Programme.
Duties and responsibilities for the Apprentice Trainer are:
Train cohorts of apprentices with the fundamentals of our Foundation Competency Level 2 or Development Knowledge Level 3 units.
These can range from Health and Safety, Working Efficiency, BIT, Fluid Power, Milling and Turning, Industrial Robots, Mechanical and Electrical Assembly, CAD, PLC`s, Measurement and Inspection to name a few. Our 3 core areas Advanced Machining, Intelligent Automation and Metrology work towards the completion of the Product Design and Development Level 3 Apprenticeship programme.
Delivery of high-quality and engaging training for a number of units to Apprentices through the standard (L3 Product Design and Development)
Learning content creation and development of apprenticeship schemes-of-work. Identifying and coordinating the integration of relevant existing training offers from industry partners into the apprenticeship scheme of work
Liaising with MTC personnel, including but not limited to Engineering Technicians and Research Engineers to ensure the Apprenticeship programme continues to meets the MTC`s vision whilst ensuring synergies are realised
Monitoring of learning environment, learner workplace Health, Safety and welfare
Ensuring the progress of the whole caseload of Learners towards all components is synonymous with timely achievement by carrying out regular reviews.
The completion of an Assessor Qualification to support workplace assessments as required.
The successful candidate for the Apprentice Trainer role will:
Technical competence within advanced machining, intelligent automation or metrology from within a manufacturing environment or manufacturing training environment.
IT literate including Microsoft Office and Ideally in Learning management systems
Be willing to enhance own work-related skills and attend any training courses
Have an industry related qualification such as an NVQ level 3 in engineering manufacture or maintenance and above, Ideally with a teaching qualification.
CNC or CAD assessor or lecturing/training delivery experience within Engineering highly desirable
