They are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer who has experience within design and engineering environments, along with project quality exposure. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive APQP, PFMEA, 8D and automotive quality standards.

Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 55,000 p.a.

The Quality Engineer will ensure that the concept, design and development teams use appropriate project quality tools to deliver robust designs and product.
As Quality Engineer you will lead the Engineering quality function from concept through to handover to Production quality team.
Support the effective design, implementation and maintenance of a Quality Management System.
Maintain the quality manuals and procedures.
You will lead and undertake internal audits to ensure compliance with defined process.
Provide training and coaching to the Engineering team in the use of disciplined problem-solving activities, root cause analysis, failure mode avoidance, etc.
The Quality Engineer will Interface with customers to provide project status updates, technical deep dives, concern resolution
Support the manufacturing and purchasing teams with the assessment and development of suppliers.
Support both internal and supply chain APQP and PPAP delivery for New Product Introduction.
The Quality Engineer will be a quality engineer who has worked within the Automotive industry, specifically within a project, design or engineering environment (not from a production background)
As Quality Engineer you will have experience with automotive quality standards (IATF16949).
You will be fully conversant with quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans and PPAP`s.
Ideally degree educated equivalent qualifications will also be considered.
Significant and proven quality experience in automotive specifically with highly complex electro mechanical components.
Able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of quality assurance tools, techniques and methodologies (8D, Core tools etc.)
Fully conversant in transmission manufacturing methods, understanding detailed engineering drawings.
DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plans including relevant component inspection process and procedures
Knowledge and understanding of ISO9000 & ISO14001 & IATF(TS) 16949
Ability to review supplier documentation and support suppliers.
Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise accordingly
