Job Description

The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit, The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), one of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult centres, is currently looking to recruit an Instructional Designer to work within its Advanced Manufacturing Training Centres (AMTC)

The Role

You will be responsible for the design of highly engaging learning material for out Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship programme, the content will be designed for both face-to-face training and online e-learning
As the Instructional Designer you will be responsible for the design of highly engaging learning that develops the performance levels within the engineering sector
You will be liasing with members and customers to identify their business and people performance requirements through learning needs analysis
You will be designing and developing measurable performance improvements with methodologies that may include: Face-to-face courses, virtual classrooms and webinars, self-study programmes, application of learning assignments, aide-memoirs, instructional/ how to videos, e-learning modules.
You will be loading and testing of all material onto the Learning Management System
You will be facilitating the delivery of pilot training courses with the Trainer/Subject Matter Expert

The Person

The ideal candidate for the Instructional Designer role is someone who has the ability to work with stakeholders to develop robust design briefs with an understanding of the capabilities of e-learning as well as its associated development tools and software as well as being able to be responsible for their own projects
