Job Description

A manufacturer supplying sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and Energy has a new vacancy for a Junior Buyer. The role will support the Commodity Manager to improve the purchasing function, ensure on time delivery and cost savings.

Commutable from: Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Sutton In Ashfield, Chesterfield, Worksop.

Salary: £ 22,000 - £ 24,000 p.a. + benefits

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading business that can offer excellent career opportunities. As a Junior Buyer you will be assisting with implementing purchasing improvements across the business, including identifying cost reduction opportunities, supplier selection, long term agreements and internal processes to improve supply chain performance.

Responsibilities will include:
Purchasing of components and commodities
Collect and analyse data to support new opportunities and generate RFQ`s
Manage data from suppliers relating to spend and terms
Help to coordinate bids and responses
Coordinate and supporting NPIs & BOMs

The Person

With an interest in a career in purchasing candidates must be highly organised, resourceful and able to adapt to shifting priorities or deadlines. You will ideally have experience in either a purchasing, planning or supply chain function and be a competent using Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint and Project
