Job Description

Working for a global manufacturer of high value and bespoke systems for the Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial markets, the Fitter / Tester will be responsible for building custom engineered products to high quality standards. Preferably apprentice trained or to NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, you will have knowledge of fitting techniques coupled with test and measuring equipment.

Salary: £ 20,000 - £ 23,000 p.a. plus pension, health cash plan, 25 days holiday

The Role

The role of the Fitter / Tester will be to build custom engineered products to high quality standards. Working within a lean environment and continually striving to improve the work environment and methods, the role will also involve carrying out performance / functionality testing to documented procedures.

The Person

Preferably educated to apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a recognised qualification, the successful Fitter / Tester will have experience of fitting / assembly and be able to interpret technical drawings and written instructions. Past knowledge of test and test measuring equipment would be advantageous.
