Job Description

A manufacturer of complex assemblies predominantly used in the aerospace and defence sector is currently recruiting a Production Planner. Candidates must have experience in production planning, scheduling, capacity planning and worked in fast paced manufacturing.

Commutable from: Chester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Manchester, Middlewich, St Helens, Warrington, Salford, Stockport.

Salary: £ 28,000 - £ 35,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for: Production Scheduler, Production Planner, Master Scheduler, Production Controller, Senior Production Planning, Planning Manager, Production Controller, Material Controller.

The Role

The Production Planner will be responsible for the following:
Generation of production plans/forecasts
Maintain the production plan and ensure the plan is in line with customer requirements
Identify material shortages for customer demands
Release new production orders as per ERP requirements
Developing and managing forecasting for short and long range material planning
Analysing and revising production plans and updating deadlines
Attend weekly sales plan preparation meetings
Identify any risks and take action to improve this, identifying root cause of any delays.
Managing resource and capacity planning, and adjust as necessary

The Candidate

Proven experience in Supply Chain/Master Scheduling and forecast planning
Strong working knowledge of ERP, capacity planning, inventory control and manufacturing operations
Worked in fast paced manufacturing background
Experience of product development and understanding of product life cycles
