Job Description

A large food manufacturer are currently looking for an experience New Product Development Technologist. You`ll be degree qualified with a food related subject with experience working within a senior NPD role. Reporting into the NPD Manager you assist on successful development & launch of new and improved products.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Stratford upon Avon, Worcester, Evesham, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Worcestershire, Warwickshire

Salary: Negotiable plus pension, Bupa & 28 Days Holidays including bank holidays

The Role

Reporting into the NPD Manager you`ll be responsible completing and maintaining accurate development records to ensure smooth progress through product launch.
Accurately carrying out relevant product testing, including pH, viscosity, cooking validation and shelf life analysis.
Organise and attend factory trials to ensure smooth launches of products to customer specification
As the NPD Technologist your present new product both internally and externally from concept to launch.
Actively reviewing the market to complete bench marking to allow to identify for market trends.

The Person

Degree qualified within a Food Technology related subject, with over three year`s experience working within food manufacturing.
A strong project management background, with experience of face to face customer meetings and presentation.
A strong product development background with experience of managing products from concept to launch.
Excellent understanding of food ingredients and specifications, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
