Team Leader

A leading multi-billion pound global supplier of automotive components require a Team Leader to work on a three shift system, overseeing a team of 20-25 staff within a high volume, fast paced automotive tier one environment. You will be a proven Team Leader with ideally exposure to injection mould / plastics.

Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 34,000 p.a. (including shift allowance on a 3 shift) + pension, life assurance and company benefits

The Role

Taking responsibility for a cross sectional functional team stationed within this new unit of the business, the Team Leader will implement and develop a leadership style to ensure you maintain a safe, consistent and profitable unit. Through excellent communication and leadership skills, you will be making quick and effective decisions, with a visible presence on the shop floor through planning and organisation to achieve stringent set objectives and targets. Working closely in conjunction with the Shift Manager, you will ensure all team members have completed the necessary training matrix`s and ensure all documentation is maintained and kept up to date.

The Person

You will have operated and worked ideally within a high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment (preferably automotive tier one) and have a demonstrable proven track record of past Team Leadership. You will be fully accustomed to automotive quality tools (ISO9001 and IATF16949), as well leading 8D problem solving, and adherence to 5S procedures. Through an enthusiastic and motivational demeanour, you will provide support and guidance to ensure the business unit is performing to the very best of its ability. Any past exposure to interior components, leather and wrapping would be advantageous for the Team Leader role, however anyone form within a high volume automotive manufacturing background would suffice.
