Job Description

A bespoke food manufacturer based in Worcestershire has a requirement for a Technical Assistant. This position is suitable for candidates who have recently graduated with a degree or masters in food and nutrition.

Commutable from: Worcestershire, Studley, Redditch, Alcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham, Solihull, Droitwich-Spa, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Leamington-Spa or Coventry.

Salary: £ 18,000 - £ 20,000 per year, generous pension contribution.

Suitable for: technical assistant, specification technologist, technical administrator, quality assistant, quality auditor, QA assistant, quality control

The role of Technical Assistant:

Assist in all technical and quality department related functions
Complete external customer specifications to a high standard
Ensure hygiene standards maintained to highest level
Ensure product quality specifications are upheld and maintained to highest standard
Monitor areas within production site
Ensure working environment is safe
Effectively liaise with other departments
Ensure raw materials are stored correctly
Keep up to date with all new relevant health & safety legislation
Manage and write technical reports

The Person:

Ability to prioritise work as needed
Experience within HACCP principles
Experience completing customer specifications for food industry
Good communication skills and can work under pressure
Food hygiene certificate
Computer literate
