IT Support Team Leader
Job Description
The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a IT Support Team Leader. The purpose of the role is to work with other members of the team to support the business and to provide additional capability across the technologies in use.
The role is being created as a result of the rapid expansion of MTC and bringing the support helpdesk internally to the MTC.
The Role
Making sure the delivery of IT support to MTC Staff, including installation of hardware and software is at a continued high level of user satisfaction.
Supervising, guiding and motivating, to help colleagues work together and ensure they`re delivering good customer service
Ensuring all issues are logged, allocated and resolved in a timely manner in accordance to the outlined SLA`s Providing product support and knowledge to the MTC staff
Handling complaints
Providing line management for Service Desk engineers including including time and holiday management, development reviews and improvement plans
Reporting call stats to senior level management on a scheduled basis.
The Person
Be capable of working in a challenging environment and will be capable of managing own workload
Be a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support team leader capable of working within an
environment with constantly changing demands.
Be able to motivate and enthuse the IT Support team ensuring provision of a service with high user satisfaction across all levels of the business
Have a willingness to get involved, suggest ideas and a desire to learn.
Will demonstrate a natural investigatory nature and be able to diagnose and resolve problems.
Be results driven rather than task driven with a positive CAN-DO approach focussing on solutions rather than problems
Have the presence to both lead and participate in team discussions with other departments on how best to interface systems and procedures.
