Job Description

A food manufacturing business based in Banbury have a requirement for a Food Technologist Manager to join their Technical and Quality department, providing support to the marketing and sales teams.

Commutable from: Banbury, Bicester, Oxford, Oxfordshire, Brackley, Towcester, Kineton, Buckingham, Coventry, Chipping Norton

Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 40,000 per year, 25 days holiday plus bank, retail discounts, death in service 2 x salary, childcare vouchers, pension scheme, car parking, cycle to work scheme.

Suitable for: Food technologist manager, technologist manager, process development manager, NPD manager, quality manager, technical manager, specifications manager.

The role of Food Technologist Manager:

Manage specifications technologists team
Provide technical support and conduct internal audits
Ensure companies food legislation is kept up to date
Assist with benchmarking and analysis of new products, ensuring technical compliance to specifications as well as nutritional and shelf life requirements
Identify any labelling non-conformances
Update and review finished products specifications in line with food safety

The Person:

Will have a good understanding of retailer specification systems
Knowledge of UK & EU food legislation
Awareness of food industry requirements
Team leadership skills
Keen attention to detail
Strong project management skills
Ability to plan and manage conflicting priorities
