Job Description

A well-known international manufacturer of Automation Solutions with a turnover into the Billions is looking to recruit a Key Account Manager. The role will see you look after key International Channel partners. The ideal candidate will have worked in the Automation industry and managed Channel partners.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Oxford, Northampton, Coventry, Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: Up to £ 50,000 p.a. + Car + Bonus (15k) + Pension + Private Healthcare + Benefits

The Role

The Key Account Manager is tasked to achieve all targets and objectives according to the approved business plan, personal and team balanced score cards (BSC).
The Relationship Development Manager must provide sales projections based on the most up to date knowledge of their customers and market on a regular basis in accordance with the format and accuracy requirements defined by the manager.
The Relationship Development Manager must formulate realistic annual and medium-term business plans for strategic accounts and specialisation area.
To achieve the target level of sales activities in accordance with business development goals for designated strategic accounts within specialisation area including data as defined by the manager and in the required format.
To develop and effectively apply the necessary skills to achieve targets and objectives according to the business plan, personal and team balanced score cards.
To acquire the knowledge that is necessary to develop business according to company objectives and share any knowledge that would enable company to achieve competitive advantages in the market.
To fulfil the role of Relationship Development Manager for the team in general terms, as well as within the specialisation area, in accordance with the sales, marketing and service strategy.
To assist the Senior Management Team in the investigation of new or major market opportunities.

The Person

Ideally the Key Account Manager will be HND or Graduate level in Mechanical Electro Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Previous external sales experience in the Automation industry would be ideal
Ability to demonstrate success in a previous sales position.
Experience of dealing with Multi-Channel partners
