Senior Research Engineer - Robotics & Autonomous Systems
The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Senior Research Engineer Robotics & Autonomous Systems. The purpose of the role is to deliver the technical aspects of projects to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.

The use of industrial robotics to carry out specific manufacturing tasks
Controls systems that support the control of a manufacturing process
Sensing systems that enable an industrial robot to perceive its surroundings and send information to a control system for a decision to be made
Process automation equipment which can be re-programmed for the manufacture of products in a continuous process
Autonomous systems that are capable of adjusting their actions dependant upon sensory input with no or minimal direction from human beings
As the Senior Research Engineer Robotics & Autonomous Systems you will provide technical and sub-team leadership to others in areas of expertise whilst undertaking project delivery tasks
You will be responsible for the generation of key project and strategic initiatives, including new project ideas in alignment with the theme`s strategy
You will provide technical support to all Res and AREs
Own career development through mentoring, coaching and training courses.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Research Engineer Robotics & Autonomous Systems you will have a good knowledge and experience in the development of complimentary and/or innovative technology solutions for a variety of industrial sectors as well as experience in programming languages such as C++, C#, JAVA and PYTHON.
