Project Manager - Aero, Defence & Security
The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Project Manager. The purpose of the role is to lead and manage the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously for the Aerospace, Defence and Security sectors.
As Project Manager you will be primarily responsible for:
Ensuring customer needs are clearly captured, understood and built around within the project proposal.
Liaise with resource owners to ensure correct and effective use of resources in delivering quality, cost and control within the project scope.
Manage changes to project scope via change request process.
Act as champion for BMS project management processes, tools and techniques.
Contribute to continuous improvement activity related to project management processes and tools.
Manage financial aspects of the project.
Work closely with technical leads to ensure high quality of delivery.
The successful candidate for the Project manager role will possess the following attributes:
Be able to demonstrate situational leadership skills.
Decision making capability, including the ability to manage multiple projects and different stages and prioritise tasks.
Previous experience managing clients and expectations keeping inline with PM processes.
Able to understand technical challenges within the Aerospace, Defence & Security sectors.
Capable of creating a positive yet challenging environment within the project team.
Naturally seeks opportunities with a commercial focus for the business and future projects.
