Job Description

A leading designer and manufacturer of industrial special purpose machinery is currently recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience designing special purpose machinery or equipment.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Wolverhampton. Walsall, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, West Bromwich.

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 p.a. plus pension, life assurance and overtime.

Suitable for: Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Principle Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer.

The Role & Candidate

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the position of Design Engineer is a key position and is responsible for the design, detail and development of specialist heavy equipment machinery.

Mechanical design engineering experience is essential and ideally candidates will be well versed in using Solidworks or AutoCad, although candidates with other CAD package experience will also be considered.

Preferably qualified to a minimum of HND level you will be comfortable working `hands on` with the engineering team when the need arises and have the ability to work to deadlines with the minimum of supervision.

Candidate will have previous experience working on industrial projects and strong general mechanical engineering design experience.
