Job Description

The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) are currently recruiting a Head of Programme Management to join the company. UKBIC are a leading Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Technical Centre located in the West Midlands. They aim to develop the next generation of battery systems across electrode, cell, module and pack levels to allow companies to move to full scale, high volume battery manufacturing.

Commutable from: Warwick, Leamington, Coventry, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Salary: £ 58,000 - £ 68,000 p.a.

Suitable for: Senior Programme Manager, Programme Manager, Project Manager.

The Role

The Head of Programme Management will lead the delivery of projects, working closely with Chief Engineers.
The Head of Programme Management will be the key point of customer contact, managing customer expectations by consistently providing timely, high quality status information.
You will have responsibility for the management of cost and control budgets across multiple sites.
Leading the Engineering team by detailing cost and timing implications of changes.
Support the Quality system development, from a Project perspective.
Report project status to Senior Management team on a qualitative basis, providing insight into risks, emerging issues and the interventions required.
Develop junior members of the team.

The Candidate

The Head of Programme Management will have a proven ability to deliver multi-million pound projects to time and budget.
Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred.
Familiar with standard Microsoft office programs including project.
Extensive experience in Engineering, preferably within automotive.
Confident communicator both internally and to customers.
Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise accordingly.
Results oriented.
Ideally the Head of Programme Management will have an automotive/ battery background.
