Job Description

A fresh produce manufacturer and supplier based in Cambridgeshire has an immediate requirement for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias. This role is permanent days rotating shift pattern, panama shift 2`s and 3`s.

Commutable from: Cambridgeshire, Cambridge, Ely, Isleham, Peterborough, Newmarket, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Huntingdon, Peterborough

Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 36,000 p.a. plus, Overtime (time and a half), Pension and holiday

The Role of multi-skilled maintenance engineer

Provide a reactive crisis breakdown service both mechanically and electrically for the operational success of the site
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, servicing schedules and overhaul of site plant, machinery and equipment in accordance with site schedules
Participate in process development and continuous improvement projects as outlined
Complete tasks as issued by engineering management, proactively work through the engineering work requests
Maintain an engineering log and shift hand-over, record all aspects of work carried out on site plant, machinery and equipment, including details of faults, remedies, parts used and relevant info
Reduce down-time of equipment due to limited stock holding
Advise on any spares needed to be ordered, and consumables ahead of time
Work alongside 3rd party service engineers and contractors as needs arise

The Person

Experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias
Food industry experience within an engineering team
City & Guilds or 17th edition
PPM delivery
Proven PLC and electrical controls fault finding training
Strong numerical and fault-finding skills
Time served electro/mechanical apprenticeship
