Job Description

Supporting the appropriate supply chain selection and supplier selection process, The Supplier Quality Engineer will support supplier analysis, supplier troubleshooting and support APQP activity for New Production Introductions and support product trials and launch activity.

Commutable from: Coventry, Leicester, Birmingham, Redditch

Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 55,000 p.a. + Bonus + Pension

Suitable for: SQA Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, STA Engineer

The Role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will support all aspects of supply chain development including selection, trials and launch activity working in close liaison with the Programme and Quality Managers. You will visit and interface directly with customers and suppliers supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions and play an active role in the APQP process for NPI. The STA Engineer will collate and analyse supplier data to produce effective and concise supplier reports.

The Person

Previous experience within the automotive sector is essential particularly within Supplier Quality Engineering with previous exposure to APQP processes and supplier liaison. Flexibility is required to travel UK Wide is necessary in addition to the ability to read and understand technical drawings/component designs. An Engineering or Technical degree highly preferred for the role but not essential in addition to a recognised qualification within a technical field such as HNC/HND.
