A large and growing engineering company has an immediate requirement for a Service Engineer who is able to commit to 70% international travel. This is a permanent position report to the Global Service Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience with capital equipment installations, rotatory equipment, packaging and print.
Commutable from: Bedfordshire (Head Office) however predominantly international travel.
Salary: £ 25,000 p.a. - £ 33,000 p.a. & expensed travel, over time potential OTE between £45,000 p.a. - £50,000 p.a.
The Role of Service Engineer (International Travel):
Focus on customer service and support while including installation and commissioning of capital equipment at customers` site Worldwide travel is essential for this position, however the service engineer will be based in Bedford This candidate will lead installation and upgrade projects, and also carry out service and inspection work The engineer will also resolve problems and aim to increase customer service activity ensuring relevant reports are submitted
The suitable service engineer will be experienced in maintaining slitting and rewinding equipment Hold an understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering practices and principles A strong background in a field-based customer support role Able to trouble shoot and fault find with Siemens PLC Understanding of remote diagnostics, technical support solutions in a customer support environment is advantageous Please only apply if you are able to commit to 70% global international travel
