A leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Quality Engineer to join the expanding team. With previous experience in a quality function, candidates will have worked in fast paced manufacturing, must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and have a good understanding of inspection methods and equipment.
Due to continued growth and the award of new projects you will be working on a number of new development projects and will be required to fulfil all aspects of a quality function including inspecting supplied parts, identifying non confirming products, completing documentation, root cause analysis and working with the wider team to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Root cause analysis of related product and process data The controlled use of Inspection, Measuring, Testing and Calibrated equipment Identification and Containment of Non-conforming Products Confirm product and accompanying documentation meets contractual requirements Identification Implementation and Verification of effectiveness Corrective Action Comply with all company policies and procedures relating to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment Ensure all supporting documentation and data is recorded and maintained in accordance with ISO9001 Carry out Final Inspection of finished product Work with various levels within the business framework and Customer Quality Representatives
A qualified engineer with background in quality you will have good supplier and customer development skills Experience in a manufacturing environment HND/HNC or degree in manufacturing/engineering preferred Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances Metrology, Inspection Methods and Equipment experience Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers A full UK driving licence will be required
