A successful well established food manufacturer are recruiting for a National Account Manager in the discounter channel. Delivering sales and margin growth via discounters, this candidate should have experience working within the savoury food sector as well as P&L experience.
Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 55,000 per annum, car allowance, sales bonus scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank, employer pension contribution, medical cashback scheme

The National Account Manager (Discounters) will be responsible for: Build commercial relationships with customers and ensure delivery of excellent customer service for allocated customers Maintain P&L of own accounts, managing sales and profitability targets Proactively look for opportunities to grow sales within existing new accounts in the discounter channel, whilst achieving company profit targets Secure NPD listings with all allocated customers, engaging them through compelling category based sales presentations and also agree launch and support plans with them Also build solid relationships with colleagues in other departments ensuring sales plans are delivered Make sure that allocated accounts are settled in line with the agreed terms and that appropriate action is taken if this is not the case to ensure that the risk of bad debt is minimised Forecast predicted sales accurately to be close to customer level and SKU group
From a commercial background within an FMCG business, ideally working with UK discounters A passion for food with a how can we attitude Passionate about making things happen and growing a business Hold a good understanding of how an Account Manager/Buyer relationship functions Ideally Degree educated or equivalent
