A globally renowned academic and industrially collaborative organisation is seeking an experience Maintenance Engineer to joining the team. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract supporting both site and equipment improvement and repair work with a mechanical bias. Days Basis role.

The Maintenance Engineer will a range of planned and reactive maintenance and repair projects across the campus including support for the campus itself and the facilities within including technical centres. You will support with a mechanical bias, projects including new construction aspects on the campus, existing overhaul and repair and installation of new equipment.
The Maintenance Engineer will support effective equipment selection and resource allocation for maintenance tasks and ensure accurate upkeep of maintenance records. You will ensure all work is carried out in a safe and documented manner ensuring adherence to the required Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety standards including working with Gas and CDM regulations.
The Maintenance Engineer will have recognised qualification in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance be conversant with supporting public-facing facilities. You will ideally hold a CSCS card and be highly conversant with CDM regulations.
You will demonstrate previous experience of mechanical system maintenance and compliance, including gas, pressure, water hygiene. With a good knowledge of G-gas, water, pressure and LEV regulations.
The Maintenance Engineer will possess a good understanding/knowledge of Health and Safety and operational practices, for example confined spaces, working at height, asbestos awareness, working with electricity and pressurised gases and liquids. An IOSH or NEBOSH General Certificate is highly advantageous for the role.
This is a days-based role, on 36 and Hour‘s contract per week for a fixed term period of 12 months.
