Duties and responsibilities of the Curriculum Development Lead include:
To work with Quality Manager and Programme Delivery Managers to formulate delivery plans for the launch of new programmes within MTC Training‘s portfolio
Use vocational and technical knowledge to develop schemes of work and training materials for Engineering and Business and Administration Standards to be delivered within MTC Training
To source appropriate CPD to upskill Training team in readiness to deliver new programmes
Be able to coach and mentor new staff to lesson plan, prepare resources and effectively track progress of their apprentices
Report progress against targets on a regular basis to the Quality Enhancement, Compliance and Systems Manager and Delivery Managers
Demonstrate model behaviours that, at all times, are consistent with an open, inclusive and participative style and be proactive in identifying opportunities that are appropriate to maintaining his/her professional development
Support the Programme Delivery Manager in the provision of an innovative, effective and efficient curriculum offer that meets the needs of learners and employers in line with national, regional and local government agenda
The successful candidate for the role of Curriculum Development Lead will have/be:
Qualified to minimum Level 3 in Engineering
A full teaching qualification and significant experience / expertise in education (F.E / H.E or apprenticeships)
A full assessor qualification is a requirement. TAQA L3 or equivalent (or willingness to gain within 12 months of employment).
Experience of engineering curriculum development
Experience in Lecturing/Training in your subject specialist area (able to plan lessons and prepare schemes of learning)
Working knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessment
Understanding of the structure and assessment requirements of relevant awarding bodies and competence-based qualifications in further and/or higher education
Knowledge of utilising digital skills within teaching and keenness to keep CPD in digital teaching updated on an ongoing basis
