Job Description

This leading global manufacturing and engineering business with a true global footprint is actively seeking to appoint a Maintenance Technician for the repair and maintenance of production machinery to improve efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of PLC`s, be electrically biased, and have worked within high volume Automotive manufacturing.

Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 36,000 p.a. (based on double days and inclusive of shift allowance) + benefit package

The Role

Reporting into the Maintenance Team Leader, the successful Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out monthly Preventative Maintenance schedules, along with working closely with Operations and Production to identify and implement equipment and process Kaizen activities to improve availability, cycle times and overall equipment efficiency and quality.

The Person

The preferred candidate for the Maintenance Technician position will be apprentice trained, and have worked within a high volume, time sensitive Automotive environment, ideally having past exposure to injection moulding process. You will have strong PLC knowledge, comfortable with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and have a recognised qualification from within engineering. Experience of working with robotic systems would be highly advantageous.
