Job Description

An experienced PAT Tester/Electrical Facilities Technician is needed to join the Estates team of The Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry. The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. The purpose of the PAT Tester/Electrical Facilities Technician is to assist the team in the upkeep of the MTC`s assets and buildings throughout the campus.

The Role

The PAT Tester/Electrical Facilities Technician role will be to primarily carry out portable appliance testing throughout the MTC campus. Further deliverables an responsibilities of the role include
To ensure records are kept of all equipment inspected and tested.
To ensure PAT testing equipment is calibrated in due time.
To ensure tools and equipment used are maintained, charged and labels etc. are replenished.
Escort contractors when required.
Assist other team members with maintenance PPM`s and installation work.
To work as a team to ensure all jobs are completed in given timescales.
Flexible to work overtime as an when required and with short notice.

The Person

The ideal candidate for the PAT Tester/Electrical Facilities Technician role will hold a City and Guilds 2377 PAT testing qualification or equivalent and have experience in a related role, as well as:
Be a self-motivated professional.
Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
The ability to manage a varied workload.
Good awareness and understanding of health and safety.

Hours of work 8-5
40 hrs per week with a 1 hr lunch break

You must also be prepared to work on the following basis,
Mon-Fri 06.00-14.00
Mon-Fri 10.00-18.00
