Job Description

A global manufacturer supplying sectors including aerospace, energy and automotive is currently recruiting a Graduate to work in the production planning department. This is an excellent opportunity for either an Engineering or Business graduate to join a leading group that can offer excellent career opportunities.

Commutable from: Lincoln, Newark On Trent, Nottingham, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Boston, Grantham, Mansfield, Worksop.

Salary: £ 22,000 - £ 24,000 p.a. + pension + life assurance

Suitable for: Engineering Graduate, Graduate, Business Graduate.

The Role

Working in the production planning department you will help with the complex manufacturing planning, it will allow the successful candidate to gain a breadth of knowledge about the many processes that make up the operations. Additionally, you will gain an excellent understanding of how business organisation operates and how our people work together to solve problems.

Key responsibilities:
Liaising with Master Scheduler and co-ordinating production plans.
Agreeing customer delivery times
Scheduling resources
Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
Generating shipping paperwork and organising transportation.
Identifying and implementing CI activities within team.

The Candidate

Candidates are sought with either an engineering related or business degree, ideally a 2.1 or above. You will have excellent PC skills in Excel (advanced user), Word and PowerPoint and an analytical way of working, be well organised with a high degree of flexibility to ensure the business meets targets.

They look for people who have the ability to take on challenges, can translate research and analysis in to practical solutions and can deliver results individually and as a member of a team.

Due to sectors supplied (aerospace and defence) and to comply with regulations candidates must be EU citizens and passport holders.
