Job Description

A leading provider of specialised technical solutions and services supplied to the manufacturing sectors is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support customer sites based across the UK. The role is permanent and requires UK travel.

Commutable from: Coventry , Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham

Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 40,000 p.a. + Company Car + Pension + Bonus

The Role

Working in the field, the Service Engineer will operate on a mobile basis across the UK supporting projects including installation, commissioning and maintenance of the equipment working alongside the customers` own maintenance and project teams. You will undertake electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and provide appropriate technical reporting and advice to customers on products and services. The Service Engineer will also play an active role in promoting new solutions and products offered by the business.

The Person

Possessing a recognised background in machine or system support, you will be a minimum of HNC, ideally HND qualified and be conversant with both electrical and mechanical fault finding. The role requires a high level of personal flexibility and as such will entail overnight stays, working shift patterns alongside the customer site patterns, repeated and extensive travel in the company car and the ability to work overtime to suit business needs.
