The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) are currently recruiting an IT Technician to join the company. The daily duties will include: Providing support of all levels to the office, Floor walking and monitoring to find issues that have not been flagged, Hardware/Software Desktop Support, Microsoft Windows Server management, Ensuring all systems are adequately documented and up to date and Assisting 3rd party suppliers with patch management/break fix
Ensure customer IP is always protected. To resolve technical support queries professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of customer service To ensure that all SLA`s are met To work effectively and productively with Supplier 2nd/3rd line support To document all calls on the call logging system Produce statistics each month on Helpdesk issues To maintain user security on all systems Support users by providing necessary training and advice To arrange for external support visit whenever problems cannot be resolved in house
Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 10 and MS Server 2012r2 2016 2019 Virtualisation technologies (VMWare) Networking topologies, protocols & methodologies Previous experience working in a Cisco based switched network infrastructure LAN/WAN (preferred but not essential) Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Vlans, VPN`s Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (AAD) MS Office 365, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive Knowledge and experience of backup systems & DR/BC Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm Experience engaging with customers ITIL v3 Foundation (desirable) SQL experience (desirable) Oracle experience (desirable)
