Job Description

The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) are currently recruiting a Learning, Training and Development Advisor to join the company. UKBIC are a leading Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Technical Centre located in the West Midlands. They aim to develop the next generation of battery systems across electrode, cell, module and pack levels to allow companies to move to full scale, high volume battery manufacturing.

Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 35,000 p.a.

The Role

The Learning, Training and Development Advisor will coordinate and standardise training across the site. You will have developed training plans and managed a training budget within a manufacturing environment.
To ensure the effectiveness of all training and development activity through robust evaluation processes.
To ensure the effectiveness of skill acquisition through robust creation and use of Work Instructions and Lead Trainers through Train the Trainer programmes.
To ensure that training policies and procedures maximise skill acquisition and effectiveness.
To drive ownership of training and development activity to the Line Manager, ensuring pre and post reviews take place between learner and Manager.
To maintain the training records database to ensure effective capturing of skill capability to allow effective Training Needs Analysis to be conducted.
To ensure the effective engagement of all learners with L&D programmes by managing bookings and joining instructions for all courses.
To closely monitor, drive and report on the skill capability programme across the hourly paid employee frameworks.
To manage the Apprentice training programme including management of external providers.
To maintain and publish L&D KPI`s that drive the actions and agenda of the business objectives.
To ensure that the L&D budget is managed, highlighting variances to plan where required.
To Manage training to clients, off-site.

The Person

Experienced in full training cycle within a manufacturing environment.
Experience of training design and delivery to audiences including senior management and external clients
Able to deliver blended solutions and approaches such as coaching, classroom, 1-2-1 sessions, action learning and eLearning.
Advanced user of Microsoft PowerPoint.
Experience of Learning Management Systems desirable.
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and
interpersonal skills
