Senior Sales Consultant - OEM
A large national Automation product distributor working with over 40 different manufacturers is looking to recruit a Senior Sales Consultant. The role will see the candidate develop new business opportunities by providing a solution sale utilising Automation products. The ideal candidate will have experience of selling Automation products (PLCs, Drives, Motion) and experience of selling to OEM`s.

Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 40,000 p.a. + Company Car + Bonus (10k) + Benefits

The Senior Sales consultants job is to identify and qualify a database of no more than 10 quality working target accounts. These accounts will be defined as priority one. With a priority two target list for backfilling after successful implementation or dismissal.
To personally own the account and all activity within, from concept to sign off. At the point of sign off the account will be handed over to the implementation team, but the Packaged Solutions consultant will still maintain a high-level relationship with the customer during the implementation process.
To sell a customised business solution, matching the needs of each customer, and utilising all of company`s different services
Liaising with colleagues (Area Sales Manager`s, Sales Engineers, PSS`s (our product specialists), Supply chain solutions and Rockwell personnel) to ensure structured approach and commitments are being met
Full accountability for business growth within the nominated target accounts. Create and maintain relationships so you need to enjoy dealing with people and be confident that you can make a good impression.
Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with core competencies and learning and development framework.
The Senior Sales Consultant will need a solid education with GSCEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Ideally you will be qualified to at least ONC level in electrical engineering.
The ability and determination to finish projects and take tasks through to their natural conclusion.
Good day to day planning capabilities are an essential for satisfactory performance
Technical interests, specialist skills and experience are important for long term success
Good knowledge of electrical control product gained within a sales environment would be advantageous
Extensive Experience in Business to Business solution selling, with the ability to deliver professional presentations to director level is a requirement of the role.
