Job Description

This internationally recognised global vehicle manufacturer, is now actively seeking multiple LGV / HGV Technicians to carry out repairs on engines, gearboxes, suspension systems and brakes. The successful applicant will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 and have experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.

Commutable from: Farnborough, Wokingham, Reading, Farnham, Basingstoke

Salary: £ 32,000 - £ 35,000 p.a. (dependant on experience, based on a 2 shift pattern), plus holiday bonus, company bonus, life assurance, pension, and excellent brand and product training

The Role

Reporting to the Depot Manager the Technician`s role includes preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of HGV and LGV vehicles. This will include fault finding and carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems and carrying out pre mot works to meet VOSA standards. Included within these duties will be all corresponding paperwork, such as job cards, service sheets and online service documents.

The Person

The successful LGV / HGV Technician will hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. Previous HGV / LGV experience is essential, and class 1 or 2 driving license is desirable but not always necessary. A competitive rate is on offer, plus achievable bonus scheme, coupled with excellent brand training and development. The role will involve working an alternative shift pattern, based on 06.00 - 15.00 and 14.00 - 23.00, with alternative Saturdays paid at an enhanced rate.
