Job Description

High profile automotive components supplier is seeking an experienced CMM / Metrology Engineer to support with component inspection and product verification work. The CMM Engineer will work on a contract basis and operate across rotating shift patterns.

Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton

Salary: £ 20.00 - £ 30.00 per hour

The Role

Working as a Contractor within the Quality Engineering department, the CMM Engineer will support metrology activity including component measurement and advanced inspection functions in addition to setting and programming of CMM and general metrology equipment including Zeiss and Mitutoyo packages. The CMM Engineer will support training and mentoring of inspection operatives and technicians within the business.

The Person

The CMM Engineer will be able to work on a contract basis, on a double day shift pattern and be conversant with Zeiss and Mitutoyo CMM programming. Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing complex/safety critical products such as automotive, aerospace, defence, motorsport or nuclear industry is essential for the role. A recognised engineering qualification at minimum of HNC level is highly advantageous for the role.
