The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Receptionist. The purpose of the role is to act as the first point of contact for guests, visitors members and contractors. The Receptionist will deliver a first class guest experience and have the ability to think on their feet if any problems arise. This role will also provide support to the events team.
As the Receptionist you will great and welcome visitors as soon as they arrive at the reception desk and offer a farewell to guests on departure
Direct visitors to the appropriate personnel and/or meeting location
Ensure reception tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationary and material.
Maintain security by controlling access via the reception desks in line with MTC Access Policy for visitors, members and contractors.
Provide excellent customer service as per Reception Standards of procedure.
Co-ordinate internal meeting room and catering requests as well as updating the internal meeting room diaries via the room booking system.
The suitable person for the Receptionist role will suit someone who is a personable and articulate team player, presentable at all times, with excellent customer service and organisational skills.
You will have had some previous experience in working in a busy reception or support function - knowledge and competence in events welcome. You will also be self motivated and positive with ability to meet deadlines as well as a hands on approach to problem solving.
