Job Description

The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Instructional Designer. The purpose of the role is to support the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to deliver a world class up-skilling programme for the construction training sector .

This is a 12 month contract position.

The Role

As the Instructional Designer you will be responsible for the design of highly engaging learning that develops the performance levels of training within the construction sector.
In order to ensure learning effectiveness and a demonstrable business impact, all learning is designed using the ADDIE model and deliverables against the CITB world class skills and productivity for the offsite construction project
You will liaise with key subject matter experts such as Construction organisations, Technology Managers, Senior Research Engineers and Technicians within the MTC Group and its members
You will design and develop training material using various methodologies that deliver measurable performance improvements. The methodologies may include face-to-face courses, virtual classrooms and webinars, self-study programmes, “application of learning” assignments, aide-memoirs, instructional/how-to videos and e-Learning modules

The Person

As the ideal candidate for the Instructional Designer position you will have demonstrable instructional design experience as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines in complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
