Product Development Engineer
A British Engineering Company supplying components to some the most well-known Aerospace manufacturers in the world are seeking a Product Development Engineer. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the Development and maintenance of the product`s dimensional variability throughout the various manufacturing process stages, to ensure it meets the customers specifications. You will have a degree or equivalent with experience in a similar castings manufacturing environment.
Commutable from: Worcester, Redditch, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Alcester
Salary £ 40,000 - £ 50,000 p.a. + Pension + Early finish on a Friday + On-site parking + 25 days holiday

Responsibilities as a Product Development Engineer;
Development of parts and processes to meet specification requirements for all dimensional aspects of product.
Provide program management for an individual portfolio of parts.
Continuously reduce cost to manufacture through improvement projects and waste reduction activities.
Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Develop and create written manufacturing process instructions for investment cast products.
Work concurrently with customers to improve manufacturability of castings.
Build and maintain customer relationships.
Product Development Engineer Skills and experience;
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
2 years + experience of working in a Foundry / castings process environment
strong awareness of modern / lean manufacturing processes and methodology such as Six Sigma
