Job Description

The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Workshop Support Technician. The purpose of the role is to provide general up keep, maintenance and labouring duties to support the everyday running of the MTC workshop.

The Role

As the Workshop Support Technician you will support the everyday running of the workshop facility through the provision of general working environment
You will ensure the workshop facility is maintained to the highest standard, creating a showcase environment promoting the MTC and its members
You will carry out maintenance to the machines or equipment to comply with the preventative maintenance plan for that particular piece of equipment
You will coordinate deliveries of goods and shipments to and from the MTC
You will support the running of the MTC storage areas which includes organising storage and monitoring use of equipment and tooling.

The Person

The ideal candidate for the Workshop Technician role is someone who has the general ability to perform general technical and maintenance operations to a high standard with experience of working in a high quality industrial environment, as well as having a UK Valid Driving License.
