Job Description

A market leading British Engineering Company supplying high technology products to some of the most prestigious brands in the automotive sector are looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Afternoons Only) to work in a newly built team at their state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility in Buckinghamshire. You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, experienced with automated machinery and will have worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment before.

Commutable from: Bicester, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Towcester, Aylesbury, Oxford, Banbury, Northampton, Dunstable

Salary: £ 39,500 p.a. (Inclusive of shift Premium – Afternoons Only), 25 days holiday + Banks + Pension + Free Parking

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer (Afternoons Only) you will;
Provide hands on technical support and assistance on electrical and mechanical faults with a range of plant equipment and production machinery, including installation, commissioning, fault finding and de-commissioning.
Problem solving and providing fast resolutions to equipment and plant equipment malfunctions, fault finding and repairing with a practical, efficient approach carrying out refurbishments as required.
Develop and implement planned maintenance of Jigs, Fixtures, Plant and other equipment to minimise downtime in the production department
Support the integration of new plant and equipment into production.
Train operators in the safe operation of equipment safely and efficiently to ensure full utilisation levels, minimise waste.
Develop and maintain plant process and efficiency through continuous improvement activities and the 5S approach.

The Person

An experienced Maintenance Engineer with;
A time served apprenticeship or relevant Electrical Engineering qualification
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience fault finding on automated production machinery and systems such as PLC`s and/or robots, programming experience on either desirable
Experience with Plastic injection moulding or plastic processing equipment desirable
