Job Description

Leading automotive supplier with a first and second tier supplier model is seeking an experienced Contract Quality Engineer support NPI and APQP activity within a busy Quality Engineering department supporting in excess of thirty different customers. The role is available on a contract basis for an immediate start if required.

Commutable from: Newport, Pontypridd, Blackwood, Caerphilly

Salary: £ 25.00 - £ 35.00 per hour (Contract)

Suitable for: Quality Engineer, APQP Engineer, NPI Engineer

The Role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Contract Quality Engineer will support new production introduction activity particularly APQP activity working in close liaison with customers and suppliers. You will fully utilise engineering drawings and technical data to ensure accurate delivery of products into production through the required gateways and ensure that issues are addressed in compliance with the Quality Management System.

The Person

The successful candidate will be able to support quality engineering concerns including APQP on a contract basis and possess proven experience within the automotive sector particularly first and/or second tier environments. You will be well versed within general quality engineering tools such as 8D, 5 Why and root cause analysis and be conversant with working within a fast-paced automotive environment.
