Suitable for: Test Engineer, Validation Engineer, Test Technician, Field Test Engineer, Tractor Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Tractor Technician

The Role

The Tractor Technician will perform detailed technical investigations and data collection activities and understand tractor performance and reliability concerns, whilst providing data-driven problem statements. Additional responsibilities will include organising and participating in field visits to work with dealers and customers to understand operational concerns in specific conditions or applications. The role will also involve participating in New Product Development activities and working with pre-production engineering field test vehicles, whilst preparing for and supporting the early warning phase of new product launches.

The ideal Tractor Technician will ideally have a formal qualification in Mechanical engineering or Agricultural Engineering, whilst being self-motivated, proactive and having a solid understanding of technical diagnosis and problem solving. Any prior knowledge (practical or theoretical) of tractor systems would be advantageous – as would experience of electrical and hydraulic systems. With enthusiasm and a willingness to take responsibility for your own performance you will provide excellent customer service skills, whilst being able to work under pressure.
