Job Description

Working for a global manufacturer of high value and bespoke systems for the Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial markets, they currently require a Material Buyer with Material Planning experience to undertake material scheduling and procurement processes. The successful Material Buyer / Planner will be experienced with SAP, have good knowledge of Engineering and be able to read engineering drawings.

Salary: £ 28,000- £ 30,000 p.a. + Flexitime + Parking + Pension Scheme.

The Role

The successful Material Buyer / Planner will undertake best in class application of material scheduling and procurement processes, in order to maintain 100% material availability for customer orders; whilst minimising inventory exposure. The role will involve actively utilising the business ERP system SAP, to manage and communicate Material scheduling and buying activities, including the use of standardised reporting.

The Person

The Material Buyer / Planner will have experience in Material Purchasing / Planning with high levels of competency in ERP/MRP management, supplier negotiations including pricing and delivery terms agreement. Strong capabilities within SAP and Microsoft Excel with high levels of proficiency will be required, coupled with a good basic Engineering understanding, with the ability to read Engineering drawings.
